Alamo Square Park

Welcome to the Alamo Square Park Website of pictures within the World from the Web Home page. Located in the heart of San Francisco, California, this city park is found east of the Haight section and Golden Gate Park. The park is relatively small (12+ acres) covering only four square city blocks and is surounded by the following streets: Fulton to the north, Steiner to the east, Hayes to the south and Scott to the west.

Famous for the historical Victorian houses known as "Painted Ladies" on Steiner St, it also features great views of downtown San Francisco. Activities include strolling through the park and sightseeing. There is also one tennis court in the park. There are no facilities in the park, but they can be found throughout San Francisco.

The pictures below are all from Alamo Square Park, using various film and digital cameras. Many collections of pictures from San Francisco feature this location, making this park look familiar.
