Angeles National Forest

Welcome to the Angeles National Forest Website of pictures within the World from the Web Home page. Located just north of Los Angeles, California, Route 2 (Angeles Crest National Scenic Byway) from Los Angeles will take you into the heart of the Forest.

The national forest contains over 650,000 acres of land. Very rugged mountains and vast tracts of land border one of the countries largest metropolitan areas. Elevations range from approximately 1200' to Mt Baldy at 10,064'. Mt. Wilson Observatory and ski resorts are contained within the park. Other activities include hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, biking and sightseeing.

All pictures were taken from or near Rt. 2, using film and digital cameras. They are sequenced from the southwest to the northeast portion of Angeles National Forest.
