Cherokee National Forest

Welcome to the Cherokee National Forest Website of pictures within the World from the Web Home page. Located in the eastern portion of Tennessee and the western portion of North Carolina, this national forest surrounds the Great Smoky Mountains National park. Knoxville is the largest nearby city and is approximately 50 miles away. It offers full resources and facilities.

There are many routes including I-40E into the park from Knoxville. There are also many smaller towns throughout this long swath of land. The park is 633,000 acres and features mountains over 5,000' with numerous whitewater rapids.
