China Ranch

Welcome to the China Ranch Website of pictures within the World from the Web Home page. Located in the Mojave desert in southeast California, this working date farm is open to the public. It is 85 miles west of Las Vegas, Nevada, near Death Valley National Park. From Las Vegas, take I-15 S to Route 160W. Go towards Pahrump and pick up Old Spanish Trail Highway. Go west on Old Spanish Trail Highway to Furnace Creek Road, turn left. Follow the signs to China Ranch.

A desolated area, this is an oasis in the middle of the desert. It is at a very low altitude and you descend to it from the main road before arriving at the oasis. Activities include hiking, sightseeing, birdwatching and shopping. Call (760)-852-4415 for more information. Open 9am-5pm Daily

All pictures below are from the China Ranch Date Farm, using film and digital cameras. This remote location, in the Mojave Desert, makes for an interesting day trip from Las Vegas.
