The National Monument is 20,534 acres in size. Elevation is near 6000' along the Rim Trail. Rim Rock Trail is 23 miles of paved road offering spectacular vistas and overlooks. The views tower over the City of Grand Junction and include huge buttes and plateaus. Elevations in the park range from 4,700' to 7,028'. Grand Junction is the largest nearby city with full services and facilities. There is very little in the park itself.
