The park is 976 acres. The waters to the west and south of Coyote Hills are part of the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The Regional Park on Fremont's Bay shoreline preserves rich wetland along with Ohlone Indian shellmound. Resources and facilities are numerous throughout the area. Activities include hiking, biking and sightseeing.
