Dead Horse Point State Park

Welcome to the Dead Horse Point State Park Website of pictures within the World from the Web Home page. Located in eastern Utah, it is on SR313. This State Park is in a remote portion of the state with Moab 32 miles away. From Moab, take SR 191 north for nine miles. Turn west (left) onto SR 313 and go 23 miles, following the signs into the park. The Park has very little facilities. However, nearby Moab offers full facilities and resources.

The park occupies 5,200 acres. It is located at an altitude of 5900'. It is a promontory of stone surrounded by steep cliffs. Two thousand feet below, the Colorado River winds its way through the park. The view from the park of the surrounding canyons and river is spectacular.
