Dixie National Forest

Welcome to the Dixie National Forest Website of pictures within the World from the Web Home page. Located in southwestern Utah with headquarters in Cedar City, it occupies almost two million acres and stretches about 170 miles across the southern portion of the state. Elevations range from 2,800' near the town of St. George to 11,322' at Blue Bell Knoll on Boulder Mountain. The Forest borders on three National Parks and one National Monument.

Downhill skiing is found at Brians Head, located on an 11,000' mountain. St. George and Cedar City are the largest cities in the National Forest and offer full resources and facilities. The two cities are connected by I-15 which travels through some sections of the park and connects to various other smaller routes that travel throughout the park.
