Enchanted Rock State Natural Area

Welcome to the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area Website of pictures within the World from the Web Home page. Located in central Texas, the park is 18 miles north of Fredericksburg. Proceed on Ranch Road 965, or from Llano, take State Highway 16 for 14 miles south and then go west on Ranch Road 965. It is west of Austin.

The Rock is a huge, pink granite exfoliation dome, that rises 425 feet above ground. The park is 1643.5 acres in size. The altitude ranges upto 1825'. Temperature in the summer can reach 100F.

Activities include sightseeing, backpacking, camping, hiking, technical and rock climbing. Resources and facilities are limited in the Park. For more information contact Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, 16710 Ranch Rd 965, Fredericksburg TX 78624 or call 325-247-3903.
