The Continental Divide runs through the middle of the park. Remote in location and in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, the largest nearby city is Kalispell. From Kalispell, take Rt 2 into the park. Together with West Glacier, these towns offer full facilities and services.
This park is ideal for observing animals in their natural habitat including eagles, bears and mountain lions. Other activities include camping, boating, fishing, biking, hiking and sightseeing. For more information contact Superintendent, Glacier National Park, National Park Service, P.O. Box 128, West Glacier, MT 59936 or call (406) 888-7800.
