Great Basin National Park

Welcome to the Great Basin National Park Website of pictures within the World from the Web Home page. Located in eastern Nevada near the Utah border, this park is remote in location with Salt Lake City, UT. 234 miles away; Las Vegas, NV. 286 miles away; Reno, NV. 385 miles away and Cedar City, Ut. 142 miles away. Ely NV. is 70 miles away to the west and Delta Ut. is 100 miles to the east. Both towns have full services and facilities. Baker, NV. is 5 miles to the east and has limited services. From Las Vegas, NV. take I-15N to Rt. 93N. At the junction of Routes 50/6, take 50/6 east to Rt 487 into Baker. Look for signs into the park.

The park occupies 77,109 acres and is contained within the South Snake Range. This range contains 13 peaks that rise above 11,000 feet. Elevations in the park range from 6825' at the visitors center to the highpoint of 13,063' at Wheeler Peak. Many visitors spend time at Lehman Caves and the Wheeler Peak area.
