Los Padres National Forest contains 1,950,000 acres in central and southwestern counties in California. Elevations range from sea level to the 8,831 foot Mt. Pinos. The proximity of the Los Padres National Forest to Big Sur in the north and Santa Barbara in the south make it a popular recreation destination.
Numerous outdoor activities are offered in this area. This includes hiking, biking, sightseeing, camping, fishing, horseback riding and hunting.
