Hickory Run State Park

Welcome to the Hickory Run State Park Website of pictures within the World from the Web Home page. Located in eastern Pennsylvania, Hickory Run State Park is located near the town of Tannery on Highway 534 in the western Poconos Mountains. It is 1 hour southwest of Scranton. From either Scranton or Philadelphia, take I-476 to I-80W. Get off at exit 273, going east on PA534 for 6 miles. Follow the signs to the park.

This park features the 16 acre Bolder Field. It is a large bolder field that was created at the edge of a glacier 20,000 years ago. The park is 15,500 acres in size. Resources and facilities are limited in the park itself, but can be found in nearby towns. Activities include sightseeing, hiking, biking, skating, skiing and fishing.

The other side of Bolder Field. This is reached with a short hike (less then a mile) along Stone Trail until you reach the blue blazed trail. Turn right and go a short distance until reaching the Bolder Field.
