There is 2.1 million acres of public lands within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Mount Shasta stands at 14,162 feet, making it the second highest volcano in the Cascade range.

Mt. Shasta from the Everitt Memorial Highway. Take I-5 to the Mt Shasta exit and pick up Everitt Memorial Highway in town. This will bring you right to the foot of Mt. Shasta.
