White Mountain National Forest

Welcome to the 2nd page of pictures from White Mountain National Forest. The hike presented here is to the top of Mt. Welch, in the southern portion of the forest. Start at the Mt Dickey parking lot, which is at 1110'. The hike is ~ 4.7 miles roundtrip and with an elevation gain of 1880' to the top of Mt Welch. The trail does continue on to Mt. Dickey and returns from there to the parking lot for those looking for a longer hike.


Hiking up Mt. Welch, at an elevation of 1870'. This is the first major overlook and is a good stopping point for those looking for a shorter hike.
