Yosemite National Park

Welcome to the Yosemite National Park hiking page of pictures within the Yosemite National Park website. The hike featured here is to the top of the Upper Yosemite Falls. It is started by picking up the Yosemite Falls Trail near Camp 4. The hike is a 6.8 mile roundtrip with a 2700' ascent. This took 2 hours and 35 minutes to get to the top. A shorter hike to the lower falls can be done that will still afford great views. The waterfall does not flow at all times, depending on the previous winters snow and the season that you hike it in. This hike was done in September when there was no water going over the waterfall. A later hike was done in April, to get the water coming over the falls. Once to the top, you can connect to other trails to hike extensively in the park. There are no facilities along these trails. The pictures as presented will start from the lower portion of the trail and will work their way to the top.
